The Alive West Norfolk Board is committed to having environmental practices that it can be proud of.

Alive West Norfolk recognises its activities have an impact on the environment and we are focused on managing and reducing these impacts.
The company therefore attributes a high priority to the development and use of materials, products, processes and services that seek to reduce environmental damage and waste.
Alive West Norfolk’s Objectives
- Contribute to the Borough Council of King’s Lynn West Norfolk’s (BCKLWN) aim of reaching carbon zero by 2035;
- Work towards reducing our energy consumption each year to assist in reaching the BCKLWN’s aim;
- Through the Display Energy Certificate programme all centres will be rated no lower than band D;
- Develop a strategy that includes / considers environmental improvements in energy consumption.
Our Commitment
- Train all staff through our internal training programme to reduce / monitor consumption through day to day operations.;
- Commit and comply with any BCKLWN project to maximise energy and carbon emissions savings;
- Alive West Norfolk will manage an Environmental Management System;
- Ensure that all sites have a clearly defined Carbon Footprint figure, provided by the BCKLWN;
- Develop, where financially viable, plans to adopt renewable technology in all projects.
Review
- Alive West Norfolk’s Energy Lead Officer will audit all sites on a 6 monthly basis and we will aim for a grading of 75+ at all centres;
- Site Energy Champions will audit their individual sites on a quarterly basis;
- Carry out weekly / monthly monitoring of all our utilities in an effort to reduce consumption, using where possible real time data to review and manage consumption at all sites;
- Regularly measure key aspects of our energy performance and periodically report progress against targets to all stakeholders: Alive West Norfolk, partners, customers, staff and the wider community.
