Alive are committed to supporting the development of coaches and volunteers to support sport and physical activity in West Norfolk

We work with a range of key partners to keep the standards of coaching in West Norfolk at its peak including:

Active Norfolk

The County Sports Partnership offer a range of exciting courses including their annual Coach Education Programme, Safeguarding and Emergency Aid.  Click here for a list of their courses.

Norfolk FA

Alive are proud to be the Official FA Football Workforce Education Venue for West Norfolk, hosting a range of FA Courses including Level 1 Certificate in Football Coaching, Safeguarding, Emergency Aid and CPD events.  Courses can be viewed here.

Alive Lynnsport are home to The College of West Anglia Sports Campus providing full-time and part-time sport and physical activity programmes to anyone looking to gain a career in the Sport and Active Leisure Industry.  More information here.

In partnership with Active Norfolk and Sports Governing bodies Alive Sports Development is delighted to announce the workshops and qualifications that form part of our new coach education programme taking place at Alive Lynnsport.


We realise training to be a qualified sports coach is often expensive and deserves support.  Grants are available to individual coaches or officials to obtain coaching/refereeing qualifications at certain levels. More information can be found on our Grants and Funding page.

Coaches Pack

The safety and welfare of young people is of paramount importance to parents, and is a priority for Alive. We take a proactive approach to the implementation of policies and procedures relating to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people in sport. We have put together a Coaches Pack, within the guidance pack you will find information on:

  • Promoting Good practice with Young People
  • Recognition of Poor Practice, Abuse and Bullying
  • Responding to Disclosure, Suspicions and Allegations
